Sugar Free Dessert Recipes: Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

This summer, cool off your kitchen and surprise the family with homemade sugar free vanilla ice cream. It’s like the feeling you get atop the Ferris wheel or basking in the sunlight at the beach, all in your bowl. Our top-rated sugar free vanilla ice cream is the perfect way to indulge this summer.

Let’s get to it:
Homemade Sugar Free Ice Cream
1/4 cup DaVinci Gourmet Vanilla Sugar Free Syrup
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup milk
1 dash salt
1/2 cup half & half

In a medium bowl, mix together all ingredients. Pour into ice cream maker and craft your frozen treat.

Substitute half & half with almond milk, coconut milk or a blend of the two. Almond milk and coconut milk are both high in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, low in fat and calories and heart healthy.

For an even healthier version, substitute Greek yogurt for the cream. Greek yogurt is different from traditional yogurt because it is strained to remove whey, which results in about 40% less sugar and sodium and about double the protein of typical yogurt.

To top it all off, add fresh or frozen berries for a fruit flavor.

What if you actually like and want the fat, just not the carbs? I want to use eggs.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

freeze in ice cube trays and then process in a ninja. I did a lot of substitutes to cut out fat and worked out great.
