Four tips for productive days for the coffee shop owner

The kids are back to their school routine, but do you need a little help getting yours back on track? It can be hard to get back into the swing of things, which is why we have four tips for productive days just for the coffee shop owner.

  1. Start the day with your favorite beverage – and offer your customers theirs.

For a lot of us, this means delicious, flavorful coffee. Coffee is a 2.5 billion dollar industry after all.

Caffeine helps wake us up and get us motivated to take on the day. Studies have shown that caffeine can improve productivity, motivation, mood, concentration and performance. All delicious reasons to sip that morning cup of coffee. If you’re looking for a more classic fall coffee taste, try our Cinnamon or Pumpkin Pie Spice syrups. For a more classic taste, taste our French Vanilla or Hazelnut. We have a flavor to fit any mood you’re in.

  1. Watch what you’re eating.

People who eat five or more servings of fruit and vegetables at least four times a week are 20% more likely to be productive throughout the day. Over-processed foods, on the other hand, can make us tired and anxious.

Set out fresh fruit or yogurt for customers to pick up when they stop in for their morning coffee fix, and remember to grab an apple for yourself!

You can also mix up a smoothie using our syrups from our Fruit Innovations line. Add in some fresh bananas or strawberries for an extra nutritious boost.

  1. Set a routine and stick to it.

Running a coffee shop means there’s a never-ending to-do list. Set a routine for those tasks that need to be done daily: cleaning the coffee makers, restocking the syrups and balancing the cashier drawers.

Setting a schedule for these everyday tasks takes the pressure off of you to remember to get them done, so you can focus on other, more important things. Like growing your coffee business.

  1. Switch to decaf.

We all know drinking caffeine too late in the day can be problematic, but some days we just can’t give up that delicious coffee taste.

Switch to decaf to keep enjoying that delicious coffee flavor all afternoon, and offer decaf specials to customers in the afternoon.

Grab a cup of flavorful coffee and get to work. Cheers to more productive days this fall!
